Dolmabahçe Palace, completed in 1856 under Sultan Abdülmecid I, is the grandest of Istanbul's Ottoman palaces, stretching 600 metres along the European shore of the Bosphorus in a city of 15 million. Blending Baroque, Rococo, and Neoclassical styles, it served as the administrative centre of the late Ottoman Empire and is where Atatürk passed away in 1938. A magnificent icon for travel art lovers. Coordinates: 41.0392° N, 29.0007° E.
