Farida Kahlo

Frida Kahlo (1907–1954) was a Mexican painter celebrated for her deeply personal and symbolically rich self-portraits. Born in Coyoacán, Mexico City, she drew on indigenous Mexican culture, surrealism, and her own physical and emotional pain to create a body of work that is both intimate and politically charged. She remains one of the most iconic and influential artists of the 20th century.
