The Monument of Neutrality is an iconic tripod-shaped tower in Ashgabat, the white marble capital of Turkmenistan, a Central Asian nation of around 6 million. Built in 1998 to mark Turkmenistan's UN-recognised permanent neutrality, it stands 75 metres tall and was topped with a golden rotating statue of the first president — a bold symbol for travel art poster lovers.
