Akanda National Park - Gabon - Travel Wall Poster Print Home Deco
Akanda National Park lies on Gabon's Atlantic coast just north of Libreville, the country's capital. Established in 2002, the park protects mangrove forests, mudflats, and Atlantic beaches that shelter migratory shorebirds, sea turtles, and manatees, and forms part of a Ramsar-listed wetland of international importance. Gabon is home to around 2.3 million people, and this coastal reserve remains one of Central Africa's richest birdwatching sites. Visitors reach the park by boat from Libreville to explore its lagoons and dense mangrove channels. A striking scene for lovers of wild coastlines and travel art. Coordinates: 0.6167° N, 9.5167° E
